Igreja do Loreto

On one of the seven hills that make up the city of Lisbon there are 18 churches,

very close to each other, including of course, the Church of Our Lady of Loreto.

The different parishes of “Baixa - Chiado”, without renouncing their own identity,
without borders or particularisms, help each other fulfilling
their own mission in the Church: the proclamation of Jesus Christ and His call to holiness.

From this heart of Lisbon, from parishes whose history has been lost over the centuries,
the Holy Spirit brings forth the breath of newness from a presence humble able to better respond
to spiritual needs, evangelical requirements, and the lifestyle of men and women
of this beginning of the third millennium.
